Processing

After Process, each item’s choice under Books determines its steps:

One book for the whole series, or One book for each title for a library, joins and converts even if a general queue step is off.
Convert the folder as it is only converts that folder. It is unavailable for a folder of CBZ chapters, which must be joined first.
One book per volume follows the general queue steps where the input allows them.

When an item’s choice overrides a step that is off, its row says The steps of the queue do not apply here. See books and volume mapping for these choices.

The processing stages are:

Building volume files: mangabind joins the chapters into intermediate CBZ files: one per volume, or one for the whole series when that is your choice. You can follow the chapter and page counts as the files are built.
Converting: mangaprep processes the pages and writes the format you chose. Several volumes can run at the same time (Parallel conversions in App settings sets how many), so use Show details to see the state of each.

The overall bar tracks the whole run. Under Show details, Saving means that a book is being packaged or written. Its bar stays below 100% until that finishes, even after all the pages have been processed.

Cancel or handle a failure

Use Cancel to stop the run. Wait until the app has finished stopping before you start again. Cancelling does not remove your source manga.

If an item fails or is skipped, read its message on the results screen. When Fix is offered, use it to correct missing volume assignments. For a write error, check the free space and the permissions of the destination. An error from an online source does not stop you from grouping by hand.

If you report a problem

Include the app version, what you added (folder, library or CBZ), the device, the format, the steps that were on, and the exact message. Do not post your manga files or private file paths unless you choose to share them.
